The Collector by KR Alexander
Josie and her little sister Anna moved to their grandma Jeannie’s house. They moved from Chicago. Josie was going to start 6th grade at a new school. Grandma Jeannie wanted the girls to follow three rules. 1. Never leave your windows open after dark. 2. No dolls in the house. 3. Never, ever go by the house in the woods. Josie and Anna make a friend named Vanessa. The girls break all three rules their grandma warned them about. Vanessa lied about having an aunt. The lady she was staying with was actually Beryl. Beryl used to be her and grandma Jeannie’s friend. Beryl kidnaps kids and turns them into porcelain dolls. She has done that for many years. Vanessa is a doll but the girls don’t notice it. Grandma Jeannie gets weak when Beryl is near the house trying to take the girls. Anna goes missing and is about to get turned into a doll by Beryl. Josie saves Anna by taking off the necklace and putting it on Beryl. Beryl turned into a pile of black dust. Then Anna turned back into a little girl. Vanessa turns into an old lady because she had been missing for years. Grandma Jeannie is back to normal and not feeling weak from protecting the girls
