Oliver by Syd Hoff

There was an elephant named Oliver. He was on the boat and he was going to the circus. When the boat docked they counted 11 elephants, but they only needed 10, so Oliver was alone. Oliver asked the peanut man, "Can I help you?" and he said, "Are you going to eat it or serve it?" and he said, "Eat it." He gave him some peanuts and Oliver said thank you. And then he saw the kids and they asked Oliver what do you want to be when you grow up and he did tricks and the circus man saw Oliver dancing and that's how Oliver got in the circus.
