Folktales From China by Barbara Lawson
A long time ago back in China there was an old man who could tame horses even wild ones. He had a son named Lyn. The old man asked Lyn to take care of a horse but the horse ran away so people started to come out of their huts to look. And then the army came and asked him to join them but Lyn had a broken leg when the horse escaped so everyone left. A long time ago in China a crazy man named Cho. Oh dear cried Cho the moon is in the water. Cho got a bucket and scooped up a full bucket and threw it to the sky. A long long time ago in China there was a poor old man and woman. The old man found a big pot in their garden and showed it to his wife but the wife could not fill that up with food so he took it back and put a small bag of five coins in it but Sunday he found 2 bags of 5 coins. He told his wife and they started to put things in it. Cabbage, food, and a dog but the wife said no. She thought they did not need another dog to feed.
