In 1878 the Wright Brothers got a toy helicopter and became interested in flying. Neither of the brothers went to college but were smart enough to start a printing business and a bike shop. In 1896 Otto Lilienthal dead in a test glider crash. From that day forward the Wright Brothers were determined to fly the first airplane. On December 17, 1903 the Wright Brothers made their first successful flight.
