Beekle by Dan Santat
Beekle was imaginary. He always wanted to have a real friend of his own, but was never picked. He left the imaginary island and travelled across the sea to find a friend of his own. He reached the human world, and found an imaginary animal friend from the imaginary island. He followed this animal to the park and searched for a friend of his own, but didn't have any luck. He climbed a tree to search some more but again had no luck. He felt sad that he could not find a friend so he decided to stop looking. While on the tree a paper flew on his face and a little girl said, Hey can you bring me my paper please? Beekle climbed down the tree and as he reached the bottom he noticed the drawing on the paper look just like him. They became friends very quickly, and a few weeks later he found another imaginary friend from his island. He played with his friend from the imaginary island while his new friend he met at the park played with her human friends. He was happy that he now had both human and imaginary friends.
